Here are a good set of working rules (thanks ADVRider) that we're going to govern this forum by:

1. No nekkid pictures of anyone. If you dont see it on a public beach, it isn't OK to post here either. The Mods will decide what is acceptable or not. If it is borderline, you will get a warning, if it is blatant, you will not. We've yet to ban anyone, but this is a quick way for you to be the first.

2. No threats. If you have to sink that low, you probably don't belong here anyway. And threatening a public official will not only get you banned, you just might get a visit from some very humorless types.

3. No Spam. We ain't talking potted meat products here.

4. Fight Fair. If a person isn't a member here, and therefore can't defend themselves (public figures excluded) please leave them alone. Slamming someone's family members isn't, whether they are a forum member or not, in order to draw blood in an argument here. If we have to explain why this is bad, you probably don’t belong here.

5. Think about what you are posting. Listen up: when you post here (or anywhere else on the web for that fact) your words are public, and will eventually be grabbed by search engines, which will give them immortality whether you want it or not.

Friendly advice: Always remember that what you post may be seen by your boss, your family, your friends, your enemies, and so on. No matter what the forum rules are, remember that your boss and/or your customer's opinions of your post will always trump forum rules when it comes to your paycheck and continued livelihood. Your words can come back to haunt you in a hearing or legal procedure, and we do not delete posts. If you're not sure whether a post is going to be kosher, ask yourself if you'd have any heartburn over your post being handed to your boss or read back to you at a deposition.

Friendly warning: What you post here can also put the site at risk of inclusion in legal proceedings as evidence or worse, which involves money and time for *ME* and risks shutting down F800 Riders ... temporarily or for good. That could put us in a position to have to remove you from the site until that mess is untangled, or permanently, even if we really like you a lot.

6. If there’s something amiss, contact a mod. The moderators are here to do just that: moderate. They try their best to enforce the rules. They might even step in and attempt to break up a fight. That usually ends up in said moderator getting a virtual barstool broken over their head, but they try hard. We don’t always see every thread and every post, so if you see a violation of the rules, click the at the bottom of the offending post. You might get ignored, but someone will at least look into it.

7. The moderator's decisions are final. Don't whine about it.

That's about it, but we might throw in a few secret rules now and then to justify being tormented by Dunny.

That's it. Happy posting!
