Sorry, but the bike is sold. Good luck in your search.

Thanks, Flook. No, that episode is behind me now and the dealer closed their doors shortly after I got my bike back. When they're bad, they're really, really, bad.

Price is now $6000 if you can close the deal quickly.
I'm sorry, but I want to sell the bike.

That work/life balance thing just isn't leaving me time for riding any more, so I'm hoping to find someone to keep my F800ST entertained the way she should be....

I've been considering trading my F800ST in for an R1200R (again), and talking to GulfCoastBMW here in Houston. Over the last few years, I've had the opportunity to visit a dozen different...

Very, very sad. Condolences to his friends and family.

I have to agree with you about Corporate not giving a care for the purchasers. When my battery died on a road trip, the dealer that they towed the bike to (Eximports in Houston, TX) told me BMW...

Gulf Coast BMW did my 24,000 mile service and I want to spread the word that they gave me the type of dealer experience that customers should expect from the BMW brand. It's been over 3 weeks and I...

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I've been to Gulf Coast a couple of times to look around and they have impressed me with their attitude.
The shop that scratched (gouged, actually) both...

Thanks, Rob. My manual is with the bike (under the seat), but I called the customer service number on the BMW Motorrad website (800-831-1117) this morning and talked to a polite lady named Tina. I...

Wow, Pat. I never thought of that.
I was puzzled about how/why the ring antenna "probably" needed to be replaced since the bike started when we put the jumper cables on the battery...

08:30 Saturday I leave my hotel room to be greeted by a bike that won't start. One brief, seemingly normal start sequence terminated by a short 'bump' of the starter and then poof! No OBC display, no...

EmmBeeDee, I've got you beat by a dozen or more, but I've been working with GPS since before the constellation was complete. The GPSMAP60CSX that I use today is my 6th Garmin unit and I share your...

I have had a lot of respect for Garmin and felt like their high-end units offered good value for the money....until I bought a Nuvi 765T. I understand that GPS manufacturers are trying to gain...

The corn fields in N. Illinois in June can also provide some memorable 'hits'. Along with Scorch's thoughts about open face helmets, the bugs alone make gloves essential.
apologies in advance...

I guess it might just be a pilot thing....maybe even just a mid-west pilot thing, but I don't like inside jokes, so it appears that I need to explain.
Meigs Field was the General Aviation airport...

This weekend it's:
Kid Rock - All Summer Long
Brad Paisley - American Saturday Night
I just can't keep it under the speed limit and going in a straight line while listening to either.

Chicago's top Dictator, Dou***bag Daley, kept me from getting a picture of my two wings at Meigs Field. It took a few years, a trade of 2 wings for 2 wheels, and a move to Texas, but I DID get this...

This is my GF's bike and I have ridden it several times. It's been reliable. It's simple, economical and a surprisingly lot of fun. She's just over 5' tall, and it fits her well.

1. John says he's using the cradle; this runs off a 12V input.
2. The USB plug DOES require 5V, but that prevents the use of the FM traffic receiver.
3. A minor technicality, but a 'step down...

John,
This link indicates that the cradle pins 9 & 10 are the 12V input to the unit. If I understand it correctly, while looking at the cradle, the LEFT two pins are the connections to the battery....

John,
My experiences with Garmin Service have always been good, but it sure sounds like you ran into the bottom of the barrel.
Like you, I run my GPS (Garmin GPSMAP 60CSX) from an SAE connector...
