Feel bit weird posting about doing stuff to my K12S on the F8 forum but I'm sure these updates can be done on the F8 series.

My bike was in with the Stealer for yet another bit of clutch work (I had a new clutch fitted 6 weeks ago which juddered so I said oi, fix it or you'll get a slap ) and I asked them to reprogram a couple of OBC things.

I asked them to completely remove the auto cancelling indicators as this drives me up the wall. They did this to my F8ST a few years ago. Interestingly I was told they cannot do this anymore as Germany in their infinite wisdom have updated the functionality of the computers that dealers use and removed this facility! What an earth The tech said the best he could do was set it on maximum distance before self cancelling. I'm yet to be told what this distance is but apparently this is what they've done. Next time I'm on the motorway I'll test it out

The other thing I asked was to change the TPM readout to be in PSI instead of BAR. So now the figures I see mean more to me. Well, let's face it down is down and up is up but I do prefer PSI being an English fellow. It was a bit weird when I saw it for the first time as I'd got so used to the 2.5 / 2.8 readout

Anyway, just thought I'd share in case any of you peeps are interested in having this done next time your bike is being serviced.

Personally I think the self canceling indicators are worth the price of admission. Super easy to use. Other wise I forget for hundreds of miles. I hate having a fellow rider trying to tell me I have winking blinkers.

Bbb, my TPI's were much more accurate after they changed the units to PSI!

Yes. My Honda has been blinking "left" since Feb. 18th.

I dunno, man. 2.5 bars is just so.....so. How could you be confused by the accuracy?

I don't know if the TPI is really accurate or not, but when it indicates 2.3/2.4 for the front tyre and 2.7/2.8 for the rear tyre it seams to be the perfect tires' pressure for my bike and my weight. this is enough for me: the TPI works as it should work. I do not need more accuracy.

Mine is in on Thursday ,clutch slip when trying hard through the gears using the shift assist.
I will ask them to change my read out to PSI.
Also have poor running some mornings until warm up.

What I want is the self cancelling indicators to work like they did 30 years ago.

i.e. when I push the button a second or third time I want it to start the time+distance calculations from scratch, not totally frecking ignore it!

Is that too much to ask?

I hate when on the motorway the fact you push to change lanes and then push again to change to the next lane only to realise the second push is totally ignored and you just changed lanes without indicating.

Indicators don't matter much in the ACT, the attitude seems to be, 'It's nobodies business where I'm going'.

Any way Trevor I have bought another K100RS, But it's only 27, how do bike years work anyway?
