Well, they called for rain today, but we took our chances - the girlfriend & I went to get her some gear at GP Bikes in Ajax & low & behold, I come out of the shop and there is a blue ST parked next to my blue ST - it was great to meet you, Dano, and see that sheepskin seat cover in real life!

    And no rain so far...

48 degrees on the way up to Mount Washington in New Hampshire, at 7am this morning. Between the 3 and 4 hour mark up to Mount Washington, I was shivering but it warmed up to the high 50's and the shivering went away on the ride home. The last 3 hours of the 8 hour ride I was tired but loved every minute of it. I think I busted my F800ST *&%^$ today.

Overall, 8 hours and 400 miles!!!!!!!! I had a blast today!

Weather was really kind of nice today. A good day for riding. Except I was underneath the kitchen sink installing new fixtures and new dishwasher. Maybe tomorrow......

31.1 degrees this morning. Frost all over the bike cover and car windows in the parking lot.
cold ride into work at 6:30am but warmed up to 37degrees by the time I got to work.

Going to warm up to high 40's later today. I luv these temps and I luv my Olympia AST Jacket and pants Thermal Liners, not to mention the heated grips on high!

Today I rode to work and back to home, about 18 miles of highway and city streets each way and 55 MPG average. Thick but moving traffic, this morning, lots of lane splitting. Coming home, quicker, as I had exclusive HOV lane (for car pools, m/c, hybrids)

Low was 55F/13C, high was 79F/26.3C. Now at 10:30 PM local, 70F/21.5

40ish yesterday and raining on the way home from work. Only ridden in the rain a few times. tense.

Also, raining in Boston today, rode to work this morning 6:30am, no rain but it had rained all night so wetness everywhere. OK ride. high 40's. Going home now, 10:30am. Sprinkling out.

Tomorrow, planning on riding to New Haven CT. about a 2 hour car ride. Going to rain all day. Going to be interesting Rainy Ride.

Hey Tweety.....I too was commuting yesterday. Gotta love the AZ weather. Even midday, I have not had too much trouble with the heat yet. (wait 'til July and August )

I've been riding for almost 20 years now, and it has mostly been in AZ. Wouldn't trade the weather at all. The weird thing is that I was able to test out my heated grips the other night when it got down under 60F. It was fun!

Hi wldct69. I know, trying to explain how 58F here is cold seems to fall on deaf ears, most times. Night driving, I often use my heated grips too, and it's somtimes in the 60's. In two weeks, I am am going to the AZBeemers rally in Heber; it's going to be quite cold there. Brrr...

    You planning on this?

58F! cold! It was 40 something this morning, 6:30am when I rode to work, and I turned my grips off halfway thru the ride. No worries, I won't pick on ya'll. I guess when our bodies adjust to the warmer weather or colder weather it's all relative. I'll still always prefer 30 to 40F degree temps over 90+ temps any day. Enjoy the Rally!

brian, it's NOT just the temps that makes ambient sensory! You have 65% or better humidity every day where you are, assuming it's like Boston and/or NY where I originate. Here, we run 7% to 14% relative humidity, making temps VERY different. I just took a box to FedEx to ship out, and it being 84F, rode there sunroof and driver-side window open, quite comfortable with no AC, like your 70-72F might be.

Ambient temp is very different when you factor in the dry/humid quotient, as heat disapates much faster when its dry. That why we will swing a reported 58F to 88F today, while where you are, you have a reported swing of 43F to 49F, a 6F degree difference to our 30F degree difference. On a sunny day, like you are supposed to see Tuesday, you might swing 20F. We sometimes swing 40F.

I have found this harder to make someone else understand, than I can explain calculus to, but oh, well. It is a fact of science, not voodoo.

I never was good in science but that all totally makes sense. Rode back from New Haven CT yesterday, it was 55 degrees at 3pm and I wasn't wearing my jacket Liner on the ride home to Boston but I stopped to put it on cuz I was starting to shake from being cold. Once the jacket liner was on I was toasty warm. heated grips on low the entire time. oh and it was a 2 hour 15 minute ride at 65 and 70mph. The more I ride and read this forum, the more I learn.

44F, Raining at 9am. - Started my 2 our ride to New Haven CT from Boston.

Sunday was gorgeous also. After getting some work done on the house, I did my favorite ride in the afternoon to B Z corners and Glendale, Washington yesterday and managed to put 230 miles in.
Absolutely beautiful ride through the area. Rain? What rain?

actually, I enjoyed my ride in the rain yesterday morning. Each time I do it I'm gaining experience and confidence. Found out my Sidi boots are not waterproof. kinda knew they weren't but wasn't able to test it till yesterday. Bike rides surprisingly solid on wet highways at 65mph. I'm actually starting to LOVE riding the highways. Never thought I'd say that.

Spring has arrived at last! It has been sunny and over 20 degrees C for the last few days and the forecasts says the nice weather is going to stay for the next 14 days.

I'm almost glad my 12 day holiday is almost over so I'll be able to ride my bike again daily

51F, light drizzle on my ride to work this morning. Good thing since my boots are NOT waterproof. Going to clear up this afternoon.

If you are talking about our no rain forecast, that came from the National Weather Service. They say La Nina is not helping us, any.

Yeah, and @ 8:37 PM MST it's 81.6 here after a high of 94+ and sundown after 7x. 13 degrees or so down in an hour or so in 12% relative humidity. I'd do a night ride, tonight, but Friday morn, I take a 3-hour ride to Heber, AZ, about 125 miles of twisties and a 15-20 drop from here, due to it 7600 altitude, spend the weekend up there @ the AZBeemer Rally, and come home Sunday to what is supposed to be our first day of the year hitting 100. The bike has bags half packed on it, already.

48F and clear this morning on my ride into work. Wore my inner jacket/pant liners and wished I didn't as I was overheating at the stop lights. No heated grips. I'm gonna miss the cold weather.

Well this is the 8th day in a row I've ridden to work. I don't think I'll ever drive my car again.

60's today. No inner liners today.
I've lost count but I think it's been over 11 days in a row riding the bike to work. I haven't driven my car in nearly 2 weeks.

Another great week comes to a close. Wore rain gear twice but didn't need it. This am was 7C & clear. Up to 18C during the day & more of the same tomorrow. The car has sat on the parking pad all week - just where I like to see it when I leave the house.

Been nice the last week or so. Rained yesterday, not nice today.
Camping with Scouts again this weekend so rain and storms likely!
Flame red F800s as of Nov 2006. Watch for me around North London.

Rose and I went for a ride in the hills today, sunny, 18C down home and 12.5C in the hills, 30% humidity, 20-30knot SWer blowing. Used the heated grips again(summer vented gloves).

A very nice day was had by all.

57F at 7am on my way to work on this Lovely Sunday Morning. Work'n 1/2 day. It's going to rain this afternoon, so hopefully I'll beat the rain on the way home.

Road the bike 18 days in a row except yesterday when I rode my bicycle to work.
Had a cold yesterday and still today so I figured I'd ride the motorbike today instead of the bicycle to prevent getting any sicker.

Haven't driven my car since April 29th.

Going to rain only Weds this week. Gonna continue to ride, ride, ride.

30-32 C is 86-89 F. We are 89 F now at 11:30 PM, our high tomorrow is a record breaking forecast of 107 F (41.7 C) but with 7% relative humidity. Our Summer is here.
