Clever, post a link to a private forum that non members cannot read, then mention that you talked to VOSA and we still don't have a clue what you are on about!

A friend with a newish 1200RT had that happen at a rally last September. BMW wouldn't sell the flaky part, they wanted to sell the whole assemble for several hundred dollars.
He finally got the matter taken care of. What a hassle though.

We just replaced the plastic male part of the quick release for the fuel line that is part of the flange at the bottom of the tank on my son's K1200R Sport. This is not part of the recall, it should be. It is a very common issue. The same company that makes the cheap BMW part also makes a brass assembly. Of course BMW choose the cheap plastic part. This process was doable by owners but a minor pain in the patrizzles.

PS. The gas leak has been stopped until the part breaks again. Next time I will use the after market brass piece for a permanent fix.

We received a letter from BMW saying that the warranty for the little strip in the gas tank that is part of the gas gauge has been extended to 12 years for many BMW models. I have not checked if the F800s are included, they fit the description.

We took my son's 2007 K1200R Sport in for a recall repair, the fuel pump. We took it to :

    Diablo Kawasaki/BMW
    Walnut Creek, CA.

They took it upon themselves to check for other recalls on the bike and are doing those also.

I posted the following on the F800s and st discussion under F800 Rear Bearing list:

    http://www.edwardsmotorcyclelaw.com/...cycle-recalls/

I do not know if this is a complete list of recalls. It is a start.

We got the K1200 R Sport back yesterday after more than 2 weeks in the shop. They did 4 recall repairs, no charge. They did not replace the steering damper which is a recall item on most late model BMWs . They did one repair that was not listed in post #8. Do not really understand the logic involved.

    Hi guys
There appears to be a recall on the side stand switch for F800 GS GT F650 F700 from 2013 which can switch everything off. Check with your local dealer to be sure if yours is included.
