I just saw this on Kickstarter and thought it was interesting. It's a puck that watches your bike motion and orientation and sends a text
message you've predefined out using bluetooth to communicate through your cell phone in the event of a crash/tipover.

2010 F800GS. MY 3rd GS so far. I have no affiliation with the product, company or any of it's personnel. I am in electronics manufacturing and do look occasionally at Kickstarter projects in AZ which is how I ran across this one. I think it's interesting and thought I'd share the link. Happy now?

It is an interesting product, especially for those who live and ride in remote areas. Have they come up with a projected retail cost yet?

I don't know where he's going to end up for final retail pricing. If you look at the right side of the Kickstarter link you can pledge to help fund the project if you'd like.
If he doesn't get the funding he's looking for, you're not charged. Initially a pledge of $69 will get you one of the first ones. I've done some product development work and suspect he's not at the point of knowing what his final costs of manufacturing are going to be. Appears to be still in the prototype segment of the process.

I ride solo a lot - if I don't show up, even for a ride around town, it would be nice to have the notification feature go out. The major limitation is having to be in an area will cell phone coverage. I've got a SPOT with me for when I get out of coverage areas.
