Steve, to be honest, I really do not know what to say. I am astounded by your news, how can someone you have never met but had such contact with over the years have such an affect on so many of us.
Like everyone else I send you best wishes to full as possible recovery. As the Troll say's do get well and commit a few sins for fun, only do not let Rose know about it though, otherwise your health will suffer. Non of us want that.

You have my thoughts and prayers at this time, though again to be honest I do not pray much as I should, BUT you're an exception.

Well, the air has been sucked out and the balloon is fully reinflated and I'm back home. No heavy lifting or over- exerting myself for a couple of weeks. Just got to wait for the biopsy results now

Got the biopsy results yesterday arvo.
No cancer, not sarcoids this time. Not even much room in my lung, just other fungii. Yep, got a fungal infection in the left lung, so off to see another specialist in regards to that.

I always thought I was a fun guy (pun intended).

I am now going to have to wait a couple of weeks for my scan which was booked for next Monday - going into precautionary isolation (recent contact with a kid relative who has just tested CV +ive.)

I hope all goes okay with the scan and Covid, Ian.
It's bloody scarey out there in the big world.
We called in at Yarragon last week-end for Rose to check out one of the shops. Even though there was only a fraction of the usual crowd, I went nowhere near any shop or other people.

Not to down play a probably serious fungal infection but hopefully a more treatable condition.
My brother got some kind of infection on an excursion to the head waters of the Amazon that took a long time to heal and another infection using unsanitized horse sh-t in his garden.
Lots of nasty things in microscopic packages.

Glad to hear it is not the big C, Steve. Now, hope you get rid of the fungi. Not going to ask what you have been sniffing.

Gerry, the same as most humans on this world but the steroids I'm on for the sarcoids weakens the immune system, allowing the fungus to grow. In other people with good immune systems, it doesn't get a chance to grow.
It's amazing how what's good for one thing is nasty for something else.

The human body is an amazing but delicate balance. My dad had similar issues and counteractions. Hope the infection gets tackled quickly, Steve.

What do they say "two nations divided by a common language", but I expect the confusion in this case can be attributed to Steve's humorous if not dirty mind!
