I saw that on the internet. Riding a bicycle. Very dangerous.

Right after running into a honda at 200 mph he's fine and gets hit on a bicycle a week later. Sucks.

Very sad indeed - a champion in many ways. MCN has a great tribute to him.

Thought I'd share a couple of photos I took at SBK Phillip Island this year.Click image for larger version.

My first reactions were like "KILL THE CAGER!!!" especially since he was in a French car Then I was like just because Nicky was a great rider doesn't mean he was 100% not responsible for this. It was just an unfortunate accident that seems ironic because he was such a great racer.
Cool guy. I remember when Tissot made the Nikcy Hayden watch... oKay, when I bought the Nicky Hayden watch Too bad I didn't hang onto it. I would have treasured that thing for life.

It appears that Nicky may have made a tragic mistake, and blew a stop sign training on his bicycle. No matter the reasons, it is a tragedy all the same. His life, cut way too short, and for a motorist, who may have had no warning that a cyclist would suddenly pull out in front of them.

Personally, I will choose to dwell on Nicky Hayden, the incredible racer and the kid from a small town in Kentucky. The "Kentucky Kid", and the child born into a large family and from parents who gave their all to provide their children successful opportunities. Nicky Hayden,... the gentleman, ....Nicky Hayden, the guy who everybody called friend. I'm a motorcyclist, and a bicyclist. I have passion for both. I guess I share that with a fallen hero. I could do much worse.
