    FredRydr and I rode 270.3 miles today, with no particular destination other than "North & East" and a desire to travel on the very entertaining roads. Also along for some of it was Wild Willie and Larry. About 50 of those miles was in the rain. CURVES!! Lots of them, on very smooth, well paved asphalt roads. Add in the elevation changes common to mountain roads and you have M/C heaven. Most everyone drives pretty fast here, even SUV's & pickup trucks, considering the frequency of sharp curves and who is driving them. Only the Harleys hold up the SUV traffic. True!! Also, the police force is for all intents . . . . . absent.

    After all that burned on dirty wheelspray, the entire exhaust system on my formerly showroom condition brand new bike looks like it has suffered 8 years of neglect. My pointing out how messy it was prompted the wise response;
    "It's a tool, not a jewel".

    Whatever.

    Last part of the day was at the main hotel where everybody else finally showed up. After friendly intros connecting the person with his screen name, we had supper and slowly split up. Rode back to our Motel some 33 miles away in the dark. Going 50MPH thru those woodsy dark curvy roads at nite felt more like 80. The adrenalin is starting to wear off . . . slowly. What a day!

    Tomorrow we roll the dice again with Mother Nature and some of her rain producing clouds.

    CycleRob is quite the rider! Oh man, those roads around Marlinton are unbelievably technical banked double and triple curves and hairpins.

    More please.
