A Republican anti-Trump group has invoked the late Senator John McCain in a new attack advert as more than 100 of the former GOP presidential candidate's aides endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the 2020 race.

Republican Voters Against Trump released the advert titled "Country First" on YouTube on Thursday morning, and have picked up a little more than 10,000 views at the time of writing.

The campaign spot is largely made up of snippets from McCain's 2008 Republican National Convention speech contrasted with remarks from President Donald Trump both in office and on the campaign trail.

Amazing truly. The thing is this conman is 1000% bluff. He never served, never would serve. He's all about inspiring the worst in people when it comes to being rude, assaultive, tough--and yet he's a chunky weakling it would appear. Oh yeah, he's in there pumping law and order, police, military, but all of that has a great deal to do w/ the fact he's a 230lb chunky weakling, all BS and bluff as he really needs all the security he can muster.

THE FACTS: He’s wrong about there being no pay increase for service members in more than 10 years and about their raise being especially large.

U.S. military members have gotten a pay raise every year for decades. As well, several in the last 10 years have been larger than service members are getting now — 2.4 per cent this year and 2.6 per cent in 2019. Raises in 2008, 2009 and 2010, for example, were all 3.4 per cent or more.

When I was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone during the 1960's, when we would watch a movie at the base theater, at the beginning of each show there would be a message to the troops from President Nixon. After his message, everyone would call out a hymn. We would all say "Him, Him, F-k Him.

I hope it's true because it may it eat away a little more at his cult followers' unwavering loyalty. We can only hope turn the country over to independently elected representatives, governors, mayors, and lose this dictatorial destroyer of America who has the better part of the Senate under his spell. I can't imagine how long it will take to have this country become internationally trustworthy after this. They know we have an electorate capable of supporting this type of thing so even if someone decent is elected they can't trust the treaties made between parties after this, not until it's forgotten or we somehow redeem ourselves. At least that's how I see it. He's a Russian Trojan Horse posing as a President and doing a perfect job at it so far.
