I read a couple of books a week and just started reading Quantum Psychology by Robert Anton Wilson. Thought it might help me understand motorcyclists . . . . What are you reading and how many books on your to-read stack? I currently have 11 in the hopper.

Prometheus Rising, authored by Robert Anton Wilson. An excerpt from the book: "Hence, they will say and even believe, that they are being robbed by the poor on welfare - who get about 4% of the tax dollar - and never 'notice' that the military-industrial complex is getting 72% of their tax dollar." While the percentages might have changed a little, I disagree with Bob Dylan - the times they aren't a changin'.

I read mostly historical books, strange for a guy who hated history at school! Maybe it was the way we were taught in the 50s and early 60s. We only got as far as the Boer War for recent history.

Ordered 3 Seinfeld trivia books from Amazon. Reading a book every other day. Figure I have about a 40 day supply. If I run out of toilet paper I'll have thousands of pages . .

I am now reading the February issue of the British publication Motorcycle Sport and Leisure, which I purchased at the local Barnes and Noble store, shortly before the county health department shut down all book stores as being "nonessential".

I just received the latest Consumer Reports magazine. Does that count as reading?

Speaking of reading the backs of cereal boxes: I seem to recall a promotion by a cereal company (I think it might have been Quaker Puffed Wheat) back in the early 1950's that had hooked up with the TV program, Sargent Preston of the Yukon. They had an offer for you to cut out coupons on the back of their cereal boxes, mail them in to the company, and you would receive a deed to a very small portion of some random piece of property in Canada. Those were in the days when no one wanted a piece of Canada and they could hardly give it away, I guess.

I kind of wish I had taken advantage of their offer. I bet there is now lots of oil shale under that property and I could be making royalty money off of fracking and sending the sludge to refineries along the Gulf of Mexico.

I have property in Scotland. I bought a bottle of Laphroaig Scottish and received my deed of one square inch of a plot of peat. I can collect my earned rent by visiting the Distillery and be handed a map and a pair of wellies to oversee my land and come back for my rent.... a Dram of Laphroaig.

It is just a shame that you have to buy a book from Amazon instead of from a local mom-and-pop bookstore.

In total agreement. I've found a bookstore in the area that is doing online sales.
