Everyone is going crazy in California. (Well, what else is new? ). Last night on the TV news there was a report about the new owner of an Applebees Restaurant (I missed in what town, but I am sure it is out in the boondocks, somewhere) not allowing people to come into the facility unless they take off their mask. One elderly woman who lives nearby was interviewed and said that she was fine with that. She said that she never wears a mask and isn't sick.
Then there was another story about a group of California churches defying the governor's order not allowing indoor worshiping. They said it was their Constitutional right to worship indoors and sing and chant and lets see him just try to send in his troops to pull them off of their pews.
At the same time about 100 (mostly white) BLM protesters shut down the 4-lane Highway 17 freeway, connecting San Jose to the Santa Cruz beaches, on Sunday for 90 minutes, backing up traffic for miles in all directions. The say they were doing so to bring attention to the (supposedly all white and rich) town of Los Gatos (whose residents are always complaining about people going to Santa Cruz that using their local streets to bypass traffic jams on the adjacent freeway). I bet that showed them who is running things around there.
And so it goes on a sunny Sunday in nutty People's Republic of Kalifornia.

Yeah, the first three questions are easy, but you should try the last five. It’s a difficult test. Like, when you start at 100 and then start counting backwards from the start at 100, it’s a tough test depending on where you start, a hundred is a laht, there’s a laht of numbers in there, and they change when you start counting them, like some have a 9 and some have a 4 so it’s a hard test.

I challenge you all to make 10 posts about coronavirus without mentioning Trump, or his administration. This thread isn't about the coronavirus, it's just another Trump-bashing thread. And it is boring. Especially from people who don't live in the USA.
So here's a for real question posed in another forum that actually is worth pondering. Why is it the coronavirus hasn't decimated the homeless population? They live in unsanitary conditions. Their health is poor. They are packed in close proximity with other homeless people. Yet the homeless people are not seeming to die in large numbers.
And the rioting (aka peaceful protesting) is not producing large numbers of coronavirus cases or deaths (by the virus). Portland has been going amuck for 8 weeks now...more than time enough for the virus to have swept through them all.

I think he has decided that promoting wearing a mask may help his reelection campaign. Also he might have been affected by his visit to the military hospital last week when he finally decided to wear a mask. Likely that was due to pressure from the hospital doctors who were concerned about the veterans in the hospital catching the virus. As you know he has always said that he is a big supporter of the military and veterans. (In spite of his past history. )

Been away on a road trip however this C19 hasn't been away,,. Very tricky, we started opening things up here as well and low and behold some young ladies went on holidays from the next province and contracted the virus along the way,,. This second wave is a lot worse than the first one, especially in VIC. The figures have totally surpassed any from the first wave. Stage 4 Lock-down and curfews in Melbourne, stage 3 and mandatory masks for the rest of the state. We even have to have a special permit for any local work related travel. Thankfully I am one of the lucky ones that still have work to go on with.
I am even more cautious with where I go and the precautions I take, now that I have these lung issues.

Victoria has had a massive increase in cases over the last 6 weeks and is by far the worst-affected state in Australia. Since the beginning of the pandemic total cases now at 13500 and deaths at 170 and now the curve looks like this compared to other Aussie states and territories:
For comparison with a similar population and land area, Minnesota in the USA has had 59,000 cases and 1700 deaths to date.

). Last night on the TV news there was a report about the new owner of an Applebees Restaurant (I missed in what town, but I am sure it is out in the boondocks, somewhere) not allowing people to come into the facility unless they take off their mask.
One elderly woman who lives nearby was interviewed and said that she was fine with that. She said that she never wears a mask and isn't sick.

I realize that the pandemic is something that you take very seriously, but there is no need to needle Daboo, or anyone else for that matter, regarding their views on the subject. Just let each of us express our thoughts and you do the same without making a direct attack and picking apart what anyone posts. This is a motorcycle forum not a political forum and while I think this thread is important to let others know about the latest information regarding the Corona virus, what is being done to alleviate it and how we can protect ourselves against getting the virus, there is no need to argue about our conflicting thoughts regarding how it is impacting each of us. Let everyone who wants to make a comment regarding the subject do so without feeling that they will be criticized for their views. That just stifles the conversation.
