Had planned a run north to wild camp on over the night of no darkness . . . but forecast heavy thunderstorms saw common sense prevail . . . so I just went out and rode some more local to me roads . . .

Managed to avoid all the downpours - more by luck than judgement - but some of the miles I covered were over rain soaked roads. Roads wet & me dry = happyness

is it alot lighter than an 800bmw?
It is lighter than my F8GS - don't know by how much without digging out the manuals, but the CB5X has a lower C of G compared with the F8GS.
If I can find the manuals I'll pop up some figures.
