Recently, much discussion in the English section has been centred around an Admin for actions that are opaque and seemingly personal. The posts of this same person have grown increasingly extreme/radicalized in that there is less and less evidence of rationale thought or discussion.

A moderator or administrator should not be the topic of conversation on a motorcycle forum.

    1. Is this a good time to review who is assigned the responsibilities of moderating and administration?
    2. Should the make up of this volunteer group be more representative of the international English speaking community?

A note of thanks to all those who volunteer. At times a thankless and under appreciated task, I'm sure.

As far as I am concerned, if anyone wants my job as a volunteer moderator they are welcome to it.

I'm fairly new to this group and certainly don't have the history of member dynamics that most of you do. I do have years of volunteer work with several community clubs and chamber of commerce groups and at times the meaning of volunteer is "one who wears the big kick me sign on their back". Today I learned that a long time fellow Kiwanis member passed away from Alzheimer's complications and it will be very hard to replace him. Did he get along with everyone, nope! Did he get things done and do way more than the rest of us, yes! I never met Bill, but I found his honesty in how he came to this group to basically say goodbye to be brave and touching. I'm sure members want to acknowledge that in their own way....I say put his post back up for the rest of this year.

I personally would prefer to keep this forum free from political, religious, social narrative content. There are many other options for those topics. If someone strongly disagrees with my posted ideas on how to maintain a motorcycle or my opinion about what's the best tire, that is their right and I need to grow some thick skin and accept their views. This is a good forum and I'm impressed with how many new members seem to be posting and joining in. I don't do facebook for personal preferences, so forums like this are great. Dang, this turned out to be longer than I wanted. Just my thoughts.

In the 'Adult' section, anything about COVID, Trump, ...
In the mainstream sections, posts about Wild Willy's passing

    Completely agree -
This forum is for motorcycle enthusiasts. No place for religion or politics unless you are riding to a church or polling station!

It's not always possible to avoid these topics (riding in the age of COVID) but any discussion should be respectful, rationale and free from undue interference by a moderator.

If one is in a position of regulating other members, they should keep their political and religious superiority to themselves. If it's in the ADULT section, it shouldn't be monitored as though you are guarding a group of children.
Personal assaults should be the only reason for chastising or regulating another member.
