2021 Ducati Multistrada V4S review

Here is a long article about the new Multistrada V4S, which now has a V4 engine with spring actuated valves instead of desmodromic valves. What is very impressive to me is that the first major service isn't needed until 37,292 miles. And of course it has all of the latest electronic gadgets to keep you entertained while you are riding. But this all comes at a weight of 570 pounds and a price well north of $20K, depending upon the options that you select. One thing I forgot to mention is that the article said that the Multistrada only got between 31 and 35 mpg - and that was likely using premium fuel.

Ducati is one of the coolest, sexiest brands in motorcycledom. But the practical side of the brand has usually left something to be desired. I liked the original Monster 750, but never liked the other models ... except for their incredible looks. Wow!

I've always sorta thought about Ducatis in the same way as Ferrari automobiles: the best-looking vehicles on the road, but the least interesting to actually own and try to live with.
