OK, I found a 375ML bottle of Chamisul Classic Soju. I will take a sip..then one more to cement my opinion of the stuff……
It tastes like a cross between watered down moonshine and a very poor sake. Anyone interested in trying it, save yourself and buy a Bud or Coors or anything else as this goat piss is not worth it.

It most likely is popular with some of the locals as something to swill with a dish of dog meat.

I am planning on adding it to some ammonia ,a dash of dish soap and a half bucket of water. I think it might work as a window cleaner additive.

Just finished off a plate of homemade beef stew and irish oat bread. Washed it down with a Duvel Belgian Golden Ale. Nice comfort food for mid winter.

I added some Bourbon and a little brandy to the bottle as I thought it a bit too sweet. It is sweet now!

My son's birthday was today and I got him a bottle of Michael Collins Irish whiskey..well, most of it will be his. He went snow boarding with some friends and has not made it back yet……

It is smooth and warming. Has a bit of a short finish and I think I like it.

At Hog Rock in Kentucky, they just call the mixture Apple Pie..... Sells for $5.00 a jar (a little more than a pint) at the MC rally there in June and October..... Very tasty!

OK….It is cold and snowing. What is a fella to do? I was the first customer at the New Fish Market and got some smoked salmon. Now I'll head doen to the local brewery for a pint and nibble on the tasty salmon……Ahhhhh.

pFriem's pumpkin ale is a beer drinker's pumpkin ale. Beautifully done, not too sweet and with a great mix of spices, pumpkin and Belgium style ale.

I may have to give in and try something off the pumpkin bandwagon. Any others to recommend in case my local guys don't carry? I may be OK if the pumpkin / spices are nuanced versus in-your-face. I tried a pumpkin ale a few years back which I felt was over-spiced...

Southern Tier's Pumking Ale is superb. The only one i like. Not spiced or perfumey tasting. Made in NY.

I saw that last week. Maybe give a try. I tried a pumpkin spice coffee at Wawa yesterday and did not like it. Odd because I love pumpkin pie. I think it is just that spicing is overdone in many of these items.

I'm the same way. Pumpkin pie is my favorite thing, and even like eating roasted pumpkin itself, but most everything with pumpkin in it sucks. Its usually as you say the spice that's overdone. That and many instances the base product isn't quality.
Try the King. I'm sure you'll like it. It would hold up as a good ale even without the pumpkin, and they used real mashed pumkin in the fermentation process not just the oils or flavoring, which also keeps that perfumey character away.

Currently resting my liver after testing it significantly last Saturday evening. While offroading and overnighting up north in Muskoka, a bottle of something known as Bulleit found its way between a fellow rider and I, and was consumed in entirety during one bonfire sitting, accompanied by many fine women from parts international, as well as drums and a guitar. Devious trails, able motorcycles, weeping guitars, tight drums, smooth whiskey, a billion constellations, autumn air, a hot fire and a few well found friends -- this be how the soul is rebalanced.

Try the King. I'm sure you'll like it. It would hold up as a good ale even without the pumpkin, and they used real mashed pumkin in the fermentation process not just the oils or flavoring, which also keeps that perfumey character away.
Anthony, Wegman's had the 22oz bottles of Southern Tier Pumpking available this weekend. I was a bit surprised by $8.89 a bottle price, but saw that the 22 oz. premiums go for about the same price at the liquor wholesaler I also visit.

You are correct that it has a lighter spicing than some of the others I have tried. It is not overpowered with cinnamon but can taste the array of flavors like nutmeg and maybe allspice. A nice hoppiness shows through. It has nice, natural carbonation and texture.

So, finally, a drinkable pumpkin ale! Still not sure I would want to drink year-round (if it was so offered) but a good choice for seasonal pumpkin brews!

A pic in the tasting room (garage)

ah, a beautiful sight. Pumpking and garage stuff

Glad you like it. Yes it's pricey as are a good many of the 22 ounce imperials out there, but I find it's worth it. You can't really drink it year round as it does sort of get to you after a couple months, but it's a nice octoberfest alternative during the fall. I'm a couple weeks away from my saturation point, but I've really enjoyed it since beginning of August.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Probably won't be around for munch longer. Drink up!

Yes. Not big on Flemish beers at all. Don't like smoke/Rauch either. I find Sour and smokiness weird in a beer.

NO, I don't like testicles in my beer. In general, I keep them as far away from my mouth as possible

I like the way he refers to them as one of Colorado's "Jewels"
