Biography:

Welding Inspector / Metal Fabricator, I still have an old 1977 AW 400 Maico. I also ride a heavily modified '15 Husky FE501. I have owned many more Maico's in the past and a few Husqvarna's as well. Back in 2011 when I got my 09 G450X It seemed like I had to learn to ride in the dirt all over again because I had been off dirt bikes for a few years and was only riding my Custom built Harley's and drag racing my Mopar Hemi's for so long. It seemed all new to me but my old skills returned to me very quickly. This BMW bike is so full of German, obscure design features that I just had to have it. Whether I ride it or not. I think I will have alot of fun though as long as I have sense enough to also keep buying new Protective safety gear needed to make my dirt bike outings all safe ones. I have some crazy toys and everything I own I wrench on myself or built from scratch. I have built custom bikes and full tube chassis race cars for close to 30 years and this will give me another project to fabricate bits and pieces for. Part of ownership is the amount of time you prepare for the outing. Which makes the reward of riding that much more pleasurable.
